Pairs without repeats

The generator pairs your entire list in one draw, remembers previous pairings on this page, and steers new draws away from combinations people have already had.

  • Odd lists: one person lands in a "floater" slot, flagged clearly instead of silently duplicated.
  • Keep-apart: exclude specific pairings — a divorced couple at a dinner party, rivals in debate practice.
  • Verifiable: the seed for every round is printed and shareable.
What happens with an odd number of people?

One person is marked as the floater for that round. Rotate the floater across rounds for fairness — the history memory helps you avoid repeating them too.

Can I ban specific pairs?

Yes — keep-apart rules are checked as a hard constraint, and the tool refuses to draw an invalid set rather than quietly dropping your rule.
